Experience:
Omar Spaulding is a retired NASA Electronics Engineer Program Manager.
He is a recognize expert in systems integration and implementation having
helped modernize both U.S. and the Saudi Arabian Air Traffic Control Systems;
and was detailed to the IRS Tax Modernization Program under Presidential direction
to modernize the Tax System. His work in Program and Project Management included work
in the NASA Space Station Freedom Program and FAA Advanced Air Traffic Control Automation System.
Other significant work included defense modeling and simulation, missions operations control architecture,
creating network topologies for the NASA/NOAA consolidation efforts, software modeling in FAA, and numerous
other projects. He created international partnerships with the Norwegian Space Agency and developed a U.S.
satellite ground station at Svalbard Norway. Using the Nations High Performance Computing and Network Infrastructure
he established at Las Campanas Chile observatory a new approach to supporting the Telescope in Education Program.
With this new overseas capability young explores in the northern hemisphere can enjoy star watching in the southern skies,
daytime camera views of the Andes Mountains and can expand their skills in science, mathematics and higher education.
He is the author of various technical publications and has received significant recognition for his work.
